I hope you have all had an enjoyable and sunny half- term, without any thunderstorms to spoil it!

Topic
Our topic this half term is called ‘Going Underground’ -all about the coal mining industry.  Thank you to those of you who have done the homework with your child over the holidays; it will be very useful in lessons. Our visit to the National Coal Mining Museum near Wakefield is next Wednesday. Remember to bring your child to school by 8:45am as we will be leaving at 9am.We won`t return until 3:45pm and will let you know of any delays on the M1.

Reading Bookworm Competition
We are continuing our read-at –home challenge this half term. As the second half term is 7 weeks long, the target for winning a prize will be 18 reads-at-home. Thank you for your continued support with the challenge. Many children surpassed the target last halt term.
