Topic
We are on a Flight to Florida for 4 weeks in our Geography lessons this half term. Thank you for the homework you did with your children this holiday it is fantastic! The children are really enthusiastic about learning more about Florida.

After that, we swap over to our History topic on World War II which will continue until Easter.(Next half term is only 4 weeks long.)

We are grateful to all those parents who replied to our letter about a possible trip to Eden Camp Museum. Unfortunately, the response was not sufficient to cover costs and so the trip will not go ahead. Instead, we will be launching the World War II topic with a special World War II day of activities on Thurs 8th February. If possible, we would like the children to dress up as a wartime schoolboy or girl and to pack a small suitcase with items they might take if they were evacuated. They could even make a gas mask box. You are invited to come into class at 3pm on that day to see what we have been doing.

LKS2 show : Edith`s Wartime Scrapbook
Our show this year has been chosen to link  to our WWII topic .The actors and dancers will be chosen firstly from the year 4 children  .The year 3 children will mainly sing in the choir (although we may need a few extra performers.) The year 4 WWII costumes will therefore be worn twice.

We will send home song words to be learnt by all the children. The performances will take place on Thurs  15th March at 2pm and Fri 16th March at  2pm .We will send out a letter about tickets soon.
